Isn’t this the cover of one of the Big City comps? Or maybe I’m crossing my NYHC history with the Cro-Mags? Either way, 1980’s Cold War hysteria brought to you via 1990’s PC hysteria. Not that any of the bands on Fear of Smell were particularly PC.

Oh man, we went to the Verminscum house to hang out in ’92. And i was hanging out with the fellas from Sleeping Body. Bored, Sam gave me some of these to draw on. I remrmber drawing this in the alcove below where Tony (Joy’s) hellacool rommates lived in the attic. The back cover being red? I have no clue, because all i had was a sharpie.
I’ve always been fond of giant nuclear explosions, so it was fitting.
