About
This is a blog about the vinyl version of the LP comprised of various artists called “Fear of Smell”. Hopefully this will attempt to catalog all thousand variations of the first pressing of this LP – which featured hand-made covers with “art”. Usually the art had a juvenile whimsy or some other hand scrawled notation. Or nothing. That’s what’s interesting to me. Submit your version to me at dietsociety@yahoo.com.
This has been OOP forever, any chance of someone uploading this awesome comp?

Still available on CD. It’s also circulating on blogs and on Soulseek so it’s out there. I don’t necessarily feel that it’s my place to reprint the comp digitally, when it’s out there already. In fact, I think it’s available as a legit download as well. I’m just here to document the covers…

I tried to order from Insound and was told it is no longer available. Waited for backorder for about a month or so before they canceled the order. So any info on where I can get access to a decent digital copy would be useful.

I painted probably the majority of the ones that are acrylic paint. So, the volcano-looking one is probably me. I was house-sitting for Sam & Adam while they were on tour. Did lots of them for them. I kept my two favorites. If I ever have a minute, I’ll send pictures. Basically, the way it worked was, if you came over their house, you were required to do one.

I’m also responsible for the Hammerhead. I might be responsible for the Age of the Fear of Smell, but maybe not.
